Business Development Manager/Executive – Formulation Division

Business Development Manager is responsible for promoting & selling Branded Formulations (Pharmaceuticals) to Medical Super Specialists of Nephrology, Kidney Transplant Surgeons, Liver Transplant Surgeons and Hepatologists, Rheumatologists engaged in clinical practice at various Hospitals, Institutions, Nursing Homes & Clinics etc.

His job is to Identify & shortlist potential Prescribers of the products which are in our portfolio and give them a in-clinic presentation of product range by various communication tools like product brochures and other knowledge sharing literatures, Query handling and persuade them to prescribe company’s brands relevant to their clinical specialty.

Being a sales function job, an effective Business Development Executive/Manager should possess strong communications skills & a friendly personality which can help them to build rapport with customers with ease. Besides candidate should be highly persuasive and a go getter for faster impact on the customers.

Business Development Executive/Managers should have background of similar experience preferably in the given therapeutic segment and if from some other speciality exposure should have adaptability and fast learning ability to adjust in the super-specialty segment. Should be able to organise CMEs/ camps etc. to help our customers treat the patients better.

Education Qualification:

Candidate should have at least a bachelor’s degree preferably in Pharmacy/ Science. But candidate with graduation in other discipline is also acceptable provided he has experience and ability to adapt to the super-specialty segment.

Successful applicants will undergo technical and on the job training before being exposed to the market. The job involves interaction with prospective and existing clients on their convenient time with variable working hours This position involves extensive travel at local Headquarter towns, Upcountry and outstation towns and candidate should be physically and mentally prepared for the same.

Candidate will also need to appoint / deal with supply chain partners like distributors / Retailers and hospital pharmacies to make the brand available to cater to the prescriptions from Doctors on a regular basis.

Important Tasks:

  • Develop relationships with prospective and existing customers, knowing their needs.
  • Discuss products to clients and offer the correct product to their matching need.
  • Work with clients to increase visibility and usage of our brands
  • Develop and nurture supply chain for catering to patients/ Drs.
  • Be target oriented and a go getter to achieve set goals
  • A Good learning ability to bring change in self with adaptability to new approaches and situations.
  • Create sales reports for the work done.
